Not necessarily. CAT4 provides insight into how a student thinks and learns—it is not a measure of intelligence or future success. Schools consider CAT4 alongside school reports, classroom performance, and other assessments. If results are lower than expected, they can help identify areas for development and guide future learning, rather than limiting a student’s opportunities.
