CAT4 can provide an indication of academic potential, but it does not predict future examination results with certainty. GCSE and A-Level success also depends on motivation, study habits, teaching, and personal resilience. Schools use CAT4 as one of several tools to understand how students learn and to help them achieve their full academic potential.
